Lesson Planning with AI AI can generate the lesson plans for teachers. That leaves the teachers with the easy part of finding the worksheets and getting everything ready. I have no concerns with this, I could see some teachers using this would become lazy with their class lessons, but that is up to the teacher. Most teachers will strive with some of the ideas that the AI might give and could make their classes more fun with the extra time they have now. Envisioning Generative AI I would use generative AI to brainstorm ideas I could use to teach my students. I had some teachers that would make most class days interactive and then tie that experience we had to what we were learning, sort of like a metaphor. I think all students remember these fun classes and can connect the information quickly. I am not imaginative enough to think of activities my class could do, but I know AI can generate ideas for me when I tell it what I want.

AI Vs Google I think AI can answer questions a lot better than Google and other search engines can. Google never gives me a direct answer when I ask a more complicated question. Plus, I usually want a more detailed explanation when I ask questions and AI can give me that in several bullet points. I already use the ChatGPT app more than my search engine on my phone, because I find it easier to find my answers there.

    ELA Technology Standards LAFS.6.RI.3.7 says I need to make sure students need to show information through different kinds of media. This means they not only need to use words in their assignments. I will have to come up with assignments where they can only use numbers or only use images to show what they know. They could draw their own images or they could find images from Google for their assignments. As a teacher, I have to make sure my students know how to use certain applications of technology. They will have to use certain websites and resources to make and edit art. Then, they will need to explain how the technology affects how art can evolve.   Copyright and Fair Use Since I am planning on becoming a teacher for elementary students, I don't think they should stress out about copyright at that age yet. As a teacher, I would try to find worksheets that were available online, of course I would pay for them if I needed to. If I was teacher that was teaching adults, I would introduce them into using Creative Commons more often so they could have their works copyrighted. For students, they think they are just making a piece of work only for their teacher to grade it, so they don't care about their own work usually. Technology Implementation Issues Academic dishonesty can be solved easily if the teachers put in the effort. There are websites now that can detect if a work is AI or has been previously submitted before by another student. I have used Microsoft Word since my 8th grade elective class where we got experience using Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel. Similar to how the user interface on Apple products are easier to work with than Android products, I think Google Docs is more intuitive. While Microsoft Word has more tools, the amount of things on one screen can make it hard to deal with. Google Docs is more simplified, I like how it looks and it is easier to find previously made documents. When teachers forced me to use Microsoft Word to upload, I would always type it all in Google Docs and then copy it into a word document. The 2.5 Designer standard is most meaningful to me. Students have different difficulties when it comes to learning and some might need more accommodation than others.      I hope to learn some technology skills that I do not already have. While I am not an Education major, I did aspire to be a teacher as a kid so I thought this class would be perfect for if I switched my major. Out of all the subjects I would teach, I would want to teach something in the technology field. Something like web design, coding, or graphic design would be a great fit for me     I have had plenty of courses in the technology field that have given me experience in important skills.
